各位新大陸人大家好！
今天，是我們新大陸30周年慶典，也是習(xí)近平總書(shū)記視察新大陸十周年的好日子，此時(shí)此刻，我想我的心情和大家一樣充滿了自豪和感慨。
感慨當(dāng)年的我們，白手起家創(chuàng)業(yè)，一路拼搏，堅(jiān)守實(shí)業(yè)，堅(jiān)持創(chuàng)新，永不言棄，盡管我們歷經(jīng)了無(wú)數(shù)的挫折和失敗，但我們總在風(fēng)雨之后方能見(jiàn)彩虹。
感慨過(guò)往三十年的一路艱辛，步步驚心，一次次創(chuàng)新試錯(cuò)、一輪輪變革跨越企業(yè)生命周期；一場(chǎng)場(chǎng)危機(jī)甚至險(xiǎn)些造成“滅頂之災(zāi)”，真可謂歷經(jīng)了九九八十一難。我們總是在向死而生之后鳳凰涅槃。
一路走來(lái)，感恩黨的改革開(kāi)放政策和各級(jí)黨委、政府給我們的支持和關(guān)心；感激社會(huì)各界朋友們的無(wú)私幫助，感謝我們的客戶和合作伙伴們。
一路走來(lái)，感嘆風(fēng)雨同舟的新大陸人，我們共同創(chuàng)造并見(jiàn)證了屬于自己的發(fā)展奇跡！
下面，我想談?wù)勎覀兊娜齻€(gè)“夢(mèng)想”：

第一、科技創(chuàng)新?實(shí)業(yè)報(bào)國(guó)
?
我還記得2019年11月，我應(yīng)邀參加在美國(guó)得克薩斯州奧斯汀市舉辦的全球頂級(jí)“人工智能和未來(lái)技術(shù)”第三屆峰會(huì)，來(lái)自全球500強(qiáng)企業(yè)的領(lǐng)袖以及政界、金融界、科技界、學(xué)術(shù)界精英、頂級(jí)智庫(kù)專(zhuān)家、資深媒體人等一千多人參加了此次盛會(huì)。我有幸成為唯一被邀請(qǐng)的華人代表，并在大會(huì)上作了英文主旨演講。
我演講的題目是《開(kāi)啟數(shù)字時(shí)代的新紀(jì)元》-《A New Era of the Digital World》，我演講開(kāi)頭部分中文的意思是：上世紀(jì)90年代初，我首次踏上美國(guó)這塊土地時(shí)，眼前的一切都使我驚嘆，高聳入云的摩天大樓，四通八達(dá)的高速公路、玲瑯滿目的超市、優(yōu)美的自然環(huán)境和秩序井然的街道社區(qū)。尤其是實(shí)時(shí)通信的電子郵件結(jié)束了我們鴻雁傳書(shū)的歷史，凡此種種，都是我前所未見(jiàn)的。更令我印象深刻的是許許多多的志愿者和熱情友愛(ài)的人們。讓我深深體會(huì)到，為什么“美國(guó)夢(mèng)”可以激勵(lì)世界各地?zé)o數(shù)懷揣夢(mèng)想的年輕人，讓他們背井離鄉(xiāng)來(lái)到這片土地，學(xué)習(xí)并提升自己的價(jià)值和創(chuàng)造未來(lái)。當(dāng)時(shí)的中國(guó)，還處在改革開(kāi)放的初期，向世界打開(kāi)大門(mén)的時(shí)間并不長(zhǎng)，百業(yè)待舉，百?gòu)U待興，與美國(guó)相比還很落后，相距甚遠(yuǎn)。那時(shí)的我多么渴望自己的祖國(guó)也能像美國(guó)一樣國(guó)富民強(qiáng)、國(guó)泰民安。
兩年后，我們白手起家，開(kāi)始創(chuàng)業(yè)，并把公司取名為新大陸。500年前哥倫布發(fā)現(xiàn)美洲新大陸，新大陸的寓意是，在一片未開(kāi)墾的土地上開(kāi)拓進(jìn)取、創(chuàng)新拼搏，創(chuàng)造未來(lái)。
我在演講中還說(shuō)到：過(guò)去25年，中國(guó)發(fā)生了翻天覆地的變化，國(guó)民經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)了近20倍，高鐵、民航、高速公路網(wǎng)絡(luò)四通八達(dá)，移動(dòng)通信無(wú)處不在，從現(xiàn)金支付到卡支付、移動(dòng)支付、條碼支付，實(shí)實(shí)在在改變著中國(guó)人的衣食住行，人民的生活水平大大提高。
國(guó)家快速發(fā)展的過(guò)程，企業(yè)也獲得了發(fā)展機(jī)會(huì)，像新大陸這樣從無(wú)到有、從小到大、從弱到強(qiáng)的例子不勝枚舉。中國(guó)奇跡般的發(fā)展壯大的過(guò)程，我們即是見(jiàn)證者，也是建設(shè)者。
以上是我當(dāng)年在美國(guó)演講的部分內(nèi)容。當(dāng)天的演講得到了強(qiáng)烈的反響。
創(chuàng)業(yè)初期，我們把“科技創(chuàng)新，實(shí)業(yè)報(bào)國(guó)”作為我們的創(chuàng)業(yè)理念。我們還把“新大陸”定義為：神奇的土地，神奇的人，神奇的事業(yè)，神奇的未來(lái)。
30年來(lái)新大陸科技創(chuàng)新成果填補(bǔ)了許多領(lǐng)域的國(guó)內(nèi)和國(guó)際空白，創(chuàng)新產(chǎn)品已經(jīng)惠及世界130多個(gè)國(guó)家和地區(qū)。
如今，我當(dāng)年在美國(guó)內(nèi)心渴望的，都一一變成了現(xiàn)實(shí)。尤其是黨的十八大以來(lái)，中國(guó)進(jìn)入了新的發(fā)展階段。如果說(shuō)，30年前的中國(guó)年輕人，腦中想的是“美國(guó)夢(mèng)”；那么，今天的中國(guó)人民內(nèi)心追逐的是中華民族偉大復(fù)興的“中國(guó)夢(mèng)”。

第二、科技創(chuàng)新、追求卓越
?
回想10年前的今天，習(xí)總書(shū)記再次視察新大陸?？倳?shū)記親切地對(duì)我們說(shuō)：“20年前，你們白手起家，當(dāng)年聽(tīng)你們探索創(chuàng)業(yè)理念的場(chǎng)景，如今仍歷歷在目。20年過(guò)去了，你們發(fā)展壯大到這個(gè)地步。”“這也證明了一條，走創(chuàng)新之路是我們國(guó)家，也是每個(gè)企業(yè)發(fā)展的必由之路”，總書(shū)記為我們指明了前進(jìn)的方向。還囑咐我們：“希望你們?yōu)橹腥A民族偉大復(fù)興，為福建科學(xué)發(fā)展跨越發(fā)展，做出新的更大貢獻(xiàn)。”
正是因?yàn)榭倳?shū)記的鼓勵(lì)和指引，2015年初，我們開(kāi)啟了新一輪治理變革和數(shù)字化創(chuàng)新，提出“做時(shí)代的企業(yè)”， 致力于“從優(yōu)秀到卓越”的躍遷。深度推進(jìn)“數(shù)字化、國(guó)際化、生態(tài)化”的發(fā)展戰(zhàn)略。10年來(lái)，我們不斷探索以數(shù)字化思維和數(shù)字技術(shù)推動(dòng)治理變革和創(chuàng)新發(fā)展。我們還助推了數(shù)字中國(guó)建設(shè)峰會(huì)召開(kāi)并永久落地福州。
“科技創(chuàng)新，追求卓越”成為我們新一輪的發(fā)展理念。
我還記得，2019年，福建省開(kāi)展了“卓越績(jī)效企業(yè)”評(píng)選活動(dòng)，當(dāng)我得知新大陸評(píng)分第一、高居榜首時(shí)，我內(nèi)心欣喜之余，卻也充滿了忐忑不安。這是為什么呢？因?yàn)槲乙恢痹谒伎?，在這個(gè)風(fēng)起云涌的大時(shí)代，到底什么樣的企業(yè)才真正算得上是卓越企業(yè)呢？新大陸距離名副其實(shí)的卓越企業(yè)到底還有多遠(yuǎn)呢？
自我看來(lái)，失敗的企業(yè)，往往沒(méi)有度過(guò)創(chuàng)業(yè)期或者轉(zhuǎn)型期就中途夭折；糟糕的企業(yè)，游走于灰黑地帶，唯利是圖，為求不義之財(cái)而殘害人；平庸的企業(yè)，只關(guān)注銷(xiāo)售利潤(rùn)成長(zhǎng)，目光短淺；優(yōu)秀的企業(yè)，除了良好業(yè)績(jī)，更重要的是有優(yōu)秀的團(tuán)隊(duì)和社會(huì)責(zé)任感；卓越的企業(yè)，關(guān)鍵在于卓越的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)力帶領(lǐng)優(yōu)秀的團(tuán)隊(duì)勇于創(chuàng)新發(fā)展，推動(dòng)企業(yè)邁向新的高度；而要走向偉大的企業(yè)，不僅僅在于業(yè)績(jī)和創(chuàng)新能力的遙遙領(lǐng)先、卓有成效，更在于有明確高遠(yuǎn)的使命感和價(jià)值觀驅(qū)動(dòng)，“以天下為己任”，推動(dòng)社會(huì)進(jìn)步，走向?yàn)樯鐣?huì)、為人類(lèi)的天下情懷、使命擔(dān)當(dāng)。
企業(yè)是大寫(xiě)的人，一個(gè)健全的人應(yīng)有睿智的腦袋、健全的神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)、各司其職的五臟六腑，有了這些，手腳才能大顯身手。企業(yè)也才能在大時(shí)代的變遷中找到生存和躍遷之路。
當(dāng)今，企業(yè)普遍面臨最大的挑戰(zhàn)在于：思想的缺失、認(rèn)知的缺位、治理的失衡及思維模式的僵化。工業(yè)時(shí)代的管理是碎片化的，其核心是分工和流程，隨著企業(yè)發(fā)展壯大，部門(mén)墻壁壘的信息孤島和金字塔管理模式帶來(lái)的摩爾定律的耗損和不斷熵增，最終必然導(dǎo)致效率低下和內(nèi)卷。
數(shù)字時(shí)代的治理，關(guān)鍵是生態(tài)化治理的思維和方法論，建立自上而下、自下而上的高效、科學(xué)、無(wú)縫連接、快速響應(yīng)、上下同欲，同頻共振的治理體系，才能培育更加肥沃的創(chuàng)新土壤，創(chuàng)造“人人出彩”的發(fā)展環(huán)境，這是企業(yè)治理變革的目的。
當(dāng)然企業(yè)是有生命周期的，新大陸各個(gè)企業(yè)的業(yè)態(tài)和發(fā)展階段完全不同，切不可一刀切用同一種模式管理，更不可東施效顰，全盤(pán)接受他人的管理經(jīng)驗(yàn)。
治理變革是企業(yè)走向卓越的關(guān)鍵，數(shù)字時(shí)代，治理能力是第一生產(chǎn)力，只有構(gòu)建符合時(shí)代的治理體系，才能在眾多亂象中撥開(kāi)迷霧，理性篤行。只有行之有效的治理能力，才能真正把企業(yè)帶出困境，走向優(yōu)秀、卓越乃至偉大之路，這需要一代又代人的智慧傳承、努力和奉獻(xiàn)。

第三、科技創(chuàng)新、造福人類(lèi)
?
人工智能正在全面進(jìn)入人類(lèi)的各行各業(yè)，新一輪科技革命、工業(yè)革命，甚至社會(huì)革命呼之欲出。而這一切都和新時(shí)代的全球治理、國(guó)家治理、社會(huì)治理乃至企業(yè)治理以及每個(gè)人自身的治理息息相關(guān)。
數(shù)字化、全球化、生態(tài)化的大時(shí)代撲面而來(lái)，如何重新審視我們的思想境界、胸懷格局、價(jià)值取向、前進(jìn)方向、治理模式，這是決定我們命運(yùn)和未來(lái)走向的生死攸關(guān)的問(wèn)題。
老地圖找不到新大陸。無(wú)論是人類(lèi)世界、國(guó)家、企業(yè)乃至我們個(gè)人的未來(lái)前程，在新時(shí)代，都來(lái)自于思想的力量，唯有思想之光才能照亮前方的路。選擇比努力更重要，俗話說(shuō)，“方向沒(méi)選對(duì)，努力也白費(fèi)”。新時(shí)代無(wú)論是企業(yè)還是個(gè)人核心競(jìng)爭(zhēng)優(yōu)勢(shì)將體現(xiàn)在是否擁有“三新”：新思想、新理念、新工具。
思想是發(fā)展的燈塔。“術(shù)”和“巧智”可以解決當(dāng)下問(wèn)題但解決不了未來(lái)問(wèn)題。任何具體的方法和技巧都必須建立在正確的思想和道德基礎(chǔ)之上，否則只能暫時(shí)成功，不可持續(xù)。有道無(wú)術(shù)術(shù)可求，有術(shù)無(wú)道止于術(shù)。拿破侖有句名言“世上有兩種力量：利劍和思想；從長(zhǎng)而論，利劍總是敗在思想手下。”
思想是創(chuàng)新的源泉。所有的創(chuàng)新都是源自于新的思想和理念。如果說(shuō)過(guò)去做生意的本事是想方設(shè)法把別人口袋里的錢(qián)裝進(jìn)自己的口袋，那么未來(lái)最大的本事就是要如何把先進(jìn)思想和創(chuàng)新理念裝進(jìn)別人的腦袋里。
治理的目標(biāo)是要激發(fā)人性的善。以AI為代表的科技發(fā)展是雙刃劍，一方面大大提升效能、改變?nèi)藗兩?，另一方面，如果?nèi)心邪惡，必然給人類(lèi)帶來(lái)災(zāi)難。因此，除了堅(jiān)持“科技向善”和“科技向上”，更要堅(jiān)持企業(yè)利他、向善、向上，這才是企業(yè)和個(gè)人長(zhǎng)治久安、持續(xù)發(fā)展的法寶。
人生的價(jià)值不在于獲取什么，而在于你能為社會(huì)、為人類(lèi)貢獻(xiàn)什么？做企業(yè)亦是如此。以往人們比拼的是利己誰(shuí)更精致，那么未來(lái)的贏家是要看利他誰(shuí)更純粹。
“科技創(chuàng)新，造福人類(lèi)”是我們新時(shí)代的宗旨和使命。
從“科技創(chuàng)新、實(shí)業(yè)報(bào)國(guó)”到“科技創(chuàng)新、追求卓越”再到“科技創(chuàng)新，造福人類(lèi)”，這就是我們一路走來(lái)的夢(mèng)想歷程，承載著我們過(guò)去初心、現(xiàn)在的拼搏與未來(lái)的憧憬。
正如從激勵(lì)個(gè)人奮斗的“美國(guó)夢(mèng)”，到引領(lǐng)中華民族偉大復(fù)興的“中國(guó)夢(mèng)”，再到承載著全人類(lèi)各個(gè)國(guó)家和每一個(gè)人美好夢(mèng)想與愿望的人類(lèi)命運(yùn)共同體的“人類(lèi)夢(mèng)”，這一系列夢(mèng)想不單單屬于我們，更是全人類(lèi)共同的期盼。
我們身處在這個(gè)偉大的時(shí)代，肩負(fù)著重大的責(zé)任與使命。讓我們以新時(shí)代新思想為指引、以科技創(chuàng)新為動(dòng)力、以造福人類(lèi)為目標(biāo)，在追逐夢(mèng)想的大道上，綻放出絢麗多彩的生命之花。

Dreams

Today, we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Newland and the tenth anniversary of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s visit to Newland. At this moment, I believe I am as proud as every one of you. There are many thoughts on my mind.
?
I think of the old days when we started from scratch, worked hard and stayed committed to developing real industry and pursuing innovation. We never gave up despite all the failed attempts and we always saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
?
I think of the trials and tribulations and all the chastening narrow escapes. Every attempt to pursue innovation and transformation, every crisis that almost doomed us, has guided us to our metamorphosis.
?
Looking back, I would like to thank the CPC Committee and government at all levels for your support and care. I am grateful to friends from various sectors for your generous help. My appreciation also goes to our customers and partners.
?
Looking back, I am in awe of Newlanders who have created and witnessed a development miracle of our own.
?
In this connection, I would like to talk about our three “dreams”:
?
First, the dream of “Pioneering Technological Innovation, and Serving the Nation Through Industrial Endeavors”
?
In November 2019, I was invited to attend the 3rd Global AI and Future Tech Summit held in Texas, the US. Participants of this summit include leaders of the world’s top 500 companies, elites from politics, financial, technology and academic communities, as well as top-notch think tank experts and veteran journalists, totaling over 1000. I was honored to be the only Chinese representative invited to attend the summit and deliver an English keynote speech.
?
The topic of my speech was A New Era of the Digital World. In the beginning part, I said that in the early 1990s, when I first set foot in America, everything was mind-blowing: the skyscrapers of lofty heights, crisscrossed network of expressways, shops with a bumper variety of goods, beautiful environment and well-managed blocks, and in particular, the e-mail that makes real-time communication possible and marks the beginning of a new era. All these were things I had never seen before. What impressed me more was the countless volunteers and hospitable and friendly people. I came to understand why the American Dream can inspire ambitious young people worldwide to uproot and come here to learn, to enhance their value and to open up new horizons. Back then, China’s reform and opening up endeavor just got started, and its door to the world was just opened. There were so many things to be done in China. And there was such a long way to go for China to catch up with America. I really hoped that my motherland could be as prosperous and thriving as America.
?
Two years later, we started our own business from zero and named it Newland. 500 years ago, Columbus discovered the New World of the Americas. Newland represents the vision of tapping the potential of untilled land and creating a future through hard work and innovation.
?
I also mentioned in my speech that in the past 25 years, China has undergone tremendous changes. Our GDP has grown by nearly 20 times; high-speed railways, civil aviation, and express networks have become easily accessible, and mobile communication ubiquitous; means of payment has evolved from cash payment to card payment, mobile payment and barcode payment. All these have delivered tangible benefits to Chinese people’s daily life, enhancing their well-being.

Rapid national development has provided enterprises with growth opportunities. There are so many enterprises like Newland emerging and growing bigger and stronger. We are witness to and builder of China’s miraculous development.
?
This is what I said in the first part of my speech in America.
?
In the early stage of start-up, we take “Pioneer Technological Innovation, and Serve the Nation Through Industrial Endeavors” as our original aspiration and startup ideas. We also defined “Newland” as a magical land, magical people, magical cause and magical future.
?
Over the past three decades, our scientific and technological innovation has filled the gap in many areas in China and beyond, benefiting people in more than 130 countries and regions.
?
Now what I hoped for our motherland back in the US has all come true. In particular, since the 18th national congress of the CPC, China has entered a new stage of development. If young people in China were thinking about American Dream 30 years ago, then today, every Chinese shares the Chinese Dream of achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
?
Second, the dream of? “Pioneering Technological Innovation, and Pursuing Excellence”
?
A decade ago today, General Secretary Xi Jinping visited Newland again. He said to us, “20 years ago, you started from scratch. I can still remember vividly the scene when I heard you talking about your start-up ideas. 20 years has passed, and you have come a long way.” “This is also proof that innovation is the surefire path for our country, and for every enterprise.” General Secretary pointed the way forward for us and told us, “hope you can make new and bigger contribution to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and to Fujian’s leap-frog development.”

It is because of General Secretary’s encouragement and guidance that in early 2015, we started a new round of governance transformation and digital innovation. We envisioned“Becoming An Enterprise of the Time”, strove for the rising from excellence to greatness. We have worked vigorously to advance a development strategy characterized by digitalization, going global and ecosystem building. Over the past decade, we have made continuous efforts to explore means of facilitating governance transformation and innovation-driven development through digital mindset and technologies. We also helped Fuzhou in hosting and becoming the permanent venue for the Digital China Summit. “Pioneer Technological Innovation, and Pursue Excellence” has become the new development philosophy.
?
I still remember that in 2019, when I was told that Newland topped the chart in a provincial program of selecting enterprises with excellent performance, I was so happy, and so nervous. Why? Because I have been contemplating that, in this changing world, what qualifies an enterprise as an excellent one and how far are we from it?
?
Failed enterprises can’t survive start-up or the transformation period; lousy ones get drowned in profit-seeking, showing little if any respect for rules; ordinary ones are myopic, only setting eyes on short-term sales profit growth; good ones, in addition to good performance, are equipped with sound teams; whereas excellence ones stand out for having extraordinary leadership capable of leading good teams to new heights through innovation-driven development. But for a company to become great, on top of leading performance and innovation capabilities, it should have clear and lofty missions and take impetus from its values. It should bear in mind the interests of all, promote social progress, and take it as its mission to deliver good for all.

Enterprise is like a human. A robust person should have a wise brain, a well-functioning neural system and organs. With these, one can flex his or her muscles. Likewise, with these, an enterprise can find a path to survival and thrival amid shifting circumstances.
?
Currently, the biggest challenge faced by many enterprise is the lack of ideas and perception, unbalanced governance and ossified mindset. In the industrial era, governance is fragmented and centers on the division of labor and procedure. As an enterprise expands, siloed departments and a pyramid-shaped governance model lead to increased entropy, making involution an inevitable corollary.
?
The key to governance in the digital era lies in adopting the mindset and methodology of ecosystem building and putting in place a governance model that makes all tiers well-linked and well-aligned and allows for rapid response. Such a model will create a fertile ground for innovation and an enabling environment for talent. This is the goal of corporate governance reform.
?
Indeed, the enterprise has a life cycle, and Newland subsidiaries vary in forms and development stages. Therefore, a one-size-fits-all approach is not a choice. Nor should we pattern on others, indiscriminately drawing upon other’s management experience.
?
Governance reform is the key for an enterprise to become excellent. Governance capacity is the primary driving force in the digital era. Only by building a governance system that meets the needs of the time, can we stay focused on our targets. Only effective governance capacity can lead an enterprise out of the woods towards being good, excellent, and even great. This entails wisdom, efforts and contribution of generations of people.

Third, the dream of “Pioneering Technological Innovation, and Delivering Benefits for Humanity”
?
Artificial intelligence is asserting itself across all sectors, with a new round of technological and industrial revolution, and even social transformation around the corner. All these are closely intertwined with the governance of the world, a country, a society or even a company and an individual.
?
With digitalization, globalization, and ecosystem building gaining traction, how to review our philosophy, mindset, value-orientation, the direction to go forward, and governance model is an existential question bearing on our destiny and future.
?
You cannot find new land on an old map. The future of the world, of a country, an enterprise, or even an individual depends on the strength of our mind. Only the light of mind can light the way forward. The core competitiveness for an enterprise and individual alike in the new era includes three aspects: new thoughts, new ideas, and new tools.
?
Mind is the beacon of development. Technique and smartness can solve problems of the present, not of tomorrow. A right approach can get us further than techniques. Meanwhile, all methods or techniques should be premised on sound moral ground. Otherwise, any success we get would just be a flash in the pan.
?
Mind is the wellspring of innovation. All innovation originated from innovative minds and ideas. If the trick of trade in the past was to try to earn money from other’s pockets, then in the future, it should be inculcating advanced mindsets and innovative ideas to others.
?
The goal of governance is to bring out the kindness in people. Scientific and technological development represented by AI is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it can enhance efficiency and change their life; on the other hand, ill-intended attempts will beget disasters. Therefore, in addition to commitment to pursuing technological development for good and progress, enterprises should serve others and contribute to social progress. This is the winning formula for lasting security and sustainable development of an enterprise and individual. In the past, winners were those who fared better than others; in the future, winners will be those who help others fare better.

The value of life does not depend on what you get, but on what you can contribute to society and humanity. This same is true for an enterprise.
?
“Pioneer Technological Innovation, and Deliver Benefits for Humanity” is our purpose and mission in the new era.

From serving the nation to pursuing excellence and benefiting people, we have always been striving for scientific and technological innovation. These are our dreams along the way, embodying our aspirations in the past, at present, and in the future.

From American Dream that inspires individual to work hard, to the Chinese Dream that guides Chinese nation to the great rejuvenation, and to the Humanity Dream that carries the aspiration and hope every country and individual, these dreams belong to not only us, but also represent the shared aspiration of all humanity.
